Wilton Manors - Our Island City
Wilton Manors, known as the "Island City", is ideally located close to the beaches, downtown, I 95, the airport, the port and so much more.
Wilton Manors is bordered on the north by the North Fork of the Middle River and the City of Oakland Park, and to the south, it's boundaries include the South Fork of the Middle River and the City of Fort Lauderdale.
To the east the city extends close to Federal Highway (US 1); and the western most boundary reaches out to Interstate 95. In recent years, Wilton Manors has experienced tremendous economic revitalization - and this continues today with projects like main Street (see below), this being in spite of the wide spread economic recession.

Both commercial and residential property values are once again on the increase giving proof to the Island City's leaders vision and ongoing economic rejuvenation efforts
Along Wilton Drive, the City's "Arts and Entertainment" District features an array of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues situated along a pedestrian-friendly corridor - exciting plans are underway to develop this further

The Island City Plans are underway in Wilton Manors for a major rejuvenation of the "main street" or "drive" and surround. Most home off these canals have boats up to 25 feet in length. 2 fixed bridges must be navigated to gain access the ocean. Largely created in the 1950s and 1960s Wilton Manors is home to many classic and stylish Florida single family homes.

However in recent times more and more townhouse and condo developments have risen.
The Gables is one of the most recent and is right off Wilton Drive. Most of the new condo developments that are along Wilton Drive or are on 26th have been created with plenty of shop space.
While much of this space is still unlet as the city continues to grow and development, as the economy overall improves and once the Mainstreet developments commences these shops will fill and the city will become more and more of a destination. From a medium to long term perspective this represents a great opportunity for homeowners and those looking to purchase real estate in Wilton Manors.
